Our fig trees are the most intruiging of trees. Dad and I pulled over to admire a grandfather of a specimen in Parrwiri Road, Balmoral yesterday. And during the long weekend, the boys explained to me the way a strangler fig had distorted a tree in the grounds of our father's hostel.
